I apologise if I have posted this in the wrong section, hoping for a bit of advice, I know of one of the above with a 30" barrel single feed, it's been rebarreled with a 1/10 twist, what are your opinions of it for some 1000 yards FTR, and shooting steel, as can't seem to find much information on the net, as I would like to change the stock on it if I was to buy it. Thanks in advance

A few decades ago the Musgrave was well regarded in Target Rifle circles. Problem might be finding a decent trigger. Has it any scope mounts?

If it's dirt cheap - i.e  c. £200 - probably worth a punt to get you started in F Class.  How many rounds down it?

Consider carefully Gun Pimps' comment about the trigger...........I have a Musgrave in 6BR which came with an RPA 2-stage trigger that's well past it's sell-by date, similar to this:

I spent an age trying to find a suitable alternative and there's nothing out there, so I bit the bullet and took an Arkansas stone to it.

I managed to grind the badly chipped sear and bent edges to the point where it regained full 2 stage operation and worked safely once more, breaking around 400gms.

It's on borrowed time though, because I think the original components may have been case hardened, and if they were, this layer has now been ground off..........a pity because the rifle will still shoot 1/2 MOA groups.
