Cock grouse
Hi, I've just had a new rifle built and I'm looking for some new dies. What are people getting the best results with? I've always used redding comp but should I be looking at others?
DaveT
Forsters a close second to Redding in my opinion.

Andrew
Hi, I've just had a new rifle built and I'm looking for some new dies. What are people getting the best results with? I've always used redding comp but should I be looking at others? What chambering? The hard fact is that some dies. even very expensive ones, may not allow you to build ammo that will work in your rifle.~Andrew
gbal
Redding competition bushing dies and Forsters are pretty good, and flexible-giving an advantage over more basic dies. You'll also feel better using them... Wilson arbor dies are excellent. The very best are probably custom dies (like Newton) cut with the same reamer as your chamber, when possible. Whether you will see any significant difference on paper depends on just how carefully the reloading is done, and how much attention is paid to detail, much of which is not primarily die related, but good dies-like all superior tools-offer potential improvements, and the cost difference isn't great over a few seasons. gbal
