mikeroz
I'm about to reload 105g a-max for the first time. I like using Vhit N100 powders, anyone had any good results or recommendation? N150, 160 or 165? I have quickload so can run the numbers through that aftewards but just wanted to know if any of you had any recommendations. Thanks in anticipation. Mike PS. If it makes any difference I've a 21 inch barrel 1:9 twist
jcampbellsmith
Digging into the archive I find I used both 43.0 gr (Lapua cases) and 43.8 gr (Sako cases) of N165 with 105 gr A-Max in my Sako 75. I see that 43.7 gr is the Hornady book max so I would work up to these numbers. The numbers above were with a Borders Archer barrel 1:8 twist. The reason I had this barrel fitted is that factory 1:10 twist varmint barrel sent the 105 gr A-Max through the target sideways. Swarovski1
Unless you have a 1 in 8 twist barrel the 105's probably wont shoot that great
