If you were to use something like H4831 and shoot bench rest or F class then I suspect barrel life would be approximately 1000 rounds. It's reported that people using this caliber in the US are getting 2500 - 3000 but they are using slow powders like N165 and H1000 and keeping pressures on or below 58000 psi, that apparently is the secret of the barrel life. I managed to get the 140's to 3250 fps and the 95gr Vmax to 3800fps but only out to 100 yards, beyond that they disintegrated Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
