Glass quality laser distance accuracy able to range small objects size of aiming led in view which is best in different weather conditions etc etc I've seen a test bin done, with geovids, swar, zeiss and zeiss came out on top that's why I had a pair
Grouse
Found the Zeiss better than Geovids for ranging in rain/fog/mist. However from what I can remember the Zeiss had a larger "target" zone, which I wasn't keen on when ranging animals on sloping ground. Reason I went with the excellent 8x56 geovids - optic quality fantastic also. Regards Grouse
IanF
To my eye the Zeiss had a strange 'port-hole' effect - the Leica having a 'flatter' fov. Leica are used daily, but struggle to range if there is mist present, they are also heavy enough that a harness is preferable to a neck-strap. redding
Has anyone compared the Geovids against the Victory RF bino's. Glass quality laser distance accuracy able to range small objects size of aiming led in view which is best in different weather conditions etc etc Had a new set of Geovids with HD 18 months age, I could not get on with them as I was constantly having to refocus them Chopped them in after 2 months for a set of Zeiss with Ballistic info and rangefinder, cany fault them, the rangefinding is superb with scan facility as well.
