Is it possible - McMillan stock adjustable cheekpiece

Andy, have you seen the Karsten Cheekpieces? They are simple to fit to non adjustable stocks and are considerable lighter than the factory fit offering.

If you are set on fitting an adjustable it is possible. Speak to Julian Savory at JMS arms, he can get it done but it's not cheap at £250 ish.

I know Julian - it was speaking to him about his 20BR that made my mind up about mine!

Can't quite believe something that costs $60 is going to cost me £250 fitted!

Still would like to know if the McMillan can be altered though.

I have a Sako 75 with Border barrel chambered in .20BR fitted in a McMillan Sporter stock.

Is it possible to cut the McMillan stock so as to fit an adjustable cheekpiece.

Thanks

Andy

Yes, it's possible, but it might be more cost effective to sell the old stock and buy the one you want. As soon as you work on the existing stock, it's value will plummet. I handled a McMillan A-TH on Sunday and it looks much better in the flesh than in a photo. Getting the stock you want can be a slow and expensive job. Good luck. JCS

Andy sorry perhaps i wasnt clear,

The Karsten isn't £250.

Julian has a guy who can alter your Mcmillan with an adjustable cheekpiece, but the price is approx £250.
