baldie Posted January 14, 2013 Report Share Posted January 14, 2013 Finished this last week. This was a nice, very manageable weight sporter/target .308. Unintentionally like an M40 sniper rifle. Started with a new remington 7oo action, which was fully blueprinted. Fitted with a custom lug and then a 1 in 11" twist Border barrel. 20 moa rail and a tactical bolt knob. Jewell trigger. The barrelled action was then marine tex bedded into a Manners MCS_T which is basically an M40 stock clone, and very nice too. DBM and 5 round magazine. Paintwork is duracoat Satin black. I dont get chance to build anything for the shelf these days , and to be honest, its difficult to please everyone with a sort of standard rifle , as it simply doesn,t exist. I have a 4-16 and a 3-12 pm11 and the body looks more like the 3-12. Now if Schmidt are producing that body in the 4-16 it makes my bank a manger nervous!
