If you tend to aim off as opposed to range and dial then the R1 may be better for you. I use a NP2DD and its pretty good for everything from 100 yard BR comps, long range stiff, lamping etc.

I have a NP-1RR on my 42XBR - it has fine cross hairs if nothing else and is supposed to be good for ranging, I use it because it was GBP650 with a set of rings and a Blackhwawk drag bag thrown in. It seemed rude to say no.

Settled, wait for the NP2DD and not be forever wishing i had (unless i manage to get as lucky as Davy)

MD, you can get the reticle changed by NF, so if you get a good deal on a scope it may be worth a considerartion.

I'm having one done at the moment, changed too......you guessed it, the NP2DD, only down side is I've been told that NF are not undertaking any reticle changes until October/November, due to prioritising new builds, and it's already been away for 6 weeks.....
