Unused and has not been sharpened since I bought it.The blade is 7" long, has a sharpened swedge and is hand finished. The standard shape handle is compressed stacked leather, neatly sandwiched between a brass double hilt guard and a Duralumin butt cap.The leather sheath comes with sharpening stone and is made for a right handed belt carry. The current wait on a Randall from the Florida workshop is currently 5+ years, so get your Randall Model 1-7 now, without the delay and the hassle of import fees etc. This will come with the original paper packaging that Randall send their knives in. £600 +++now sold+++ 2. The Al Mar SERE Operator. Sold. This is brand new, made in Japan. It is a modern take on the original Al Mar SERE knife from the 1980s.This has a 5" blade, full tang, made from VG10 steel. The handle is black micarta, which has a nice textured finish to it. It is pinned with three hollow rivets and has a lanyard hole. The black nylon sheath is MOLLE compatible, or can just be worn on the belt. This is new, never carried, used or sharpened. It does have two very slight blemishes on the blade, which were there when it arrived from the USA. The price reflects the slights blemishes.Complete with original box, get yourself a piece of knife history as it is rumoured they will no longer make these in Japan. Sold.

The 'e' one seems strange. According to Remington site, the 700 in .222 Rem was made in 1962 and 1993. The .222 Rem Mag in 1962 -68. https://www.remington.com/firearm-history/model-700-history The 'e' serial number was used in 1984 and 2010 (and in 1958, but that is before the 700 was invented). https://www.remingtonsociety.org/manufacture-dates/ It might be worth emailing Remington directly to help you with this.

SchmidtP3 replied to LONG RANGE CAPT's topic in Tactical Competition
I would like to get into competitive long range shooting and I'm quite excited by the challenges of the style of the PRL shoots and could see myself at least trying it out. There just seems to be a soap opera of some sort attached to the UK endeavour. From this thread it doesn't seem like neophytes would get a look in though. A bit off putting but I would still like to get involved. -

I see no problem with this. The primers do not come in hermetically sealed containers.

I always describe brass as 'metal samples' when posting.

Good to know. One of the worst modifications they made to the LMG was replace the rear sight drum (a very well made and finely adjustable drum) to the L shape two hole flip sight. Really saw a decrease in effective accuracy then. The SA80 is pretty accurate, partly due to the piston system. But that weight, before you shove all the 'platform add-ons' is unwieldy and the ergonomics are pretty atrocious. Doing any safety, reload or IA drills makes you seem like you're having a fit.

Or like that belter at Shrivenham, Lt Col (retd) John Starling who insists that the SA80 in any guise is the best individual weapon, its weight shows that it is robust... He is dismissive of any weapon under 10lb. His position means he preaches his phallacies to thousands of young and impressionable officers and soldiers.
