  1. Surprised if anyone's still running V2 autotrickler/autothrow, but I have an unused V2 to V3 upgrade kit going cheap if so, call it £75?

Also have a complete V3 kit available due to arrival of V4, includes A419 trickler base and autothrow nozzle - dont think you can get V3 autothrow anymore, £175? been a while since I bought one but think they were best part of 450-500 quid after shipping and duty/vat.

I went for the V3, well how much quicker can the new one be?

My V3 is fast but when it throws 1Gr under, it seems to take the trickler a while to finish off.

I don't expect V4 to be faster. If you mess about with the slider and the tilt of the trickler body you should be able to get it to throw within 10s - you should also be able to get the autothrow to leave less than a grain to go.

I wouldn't be too upset about getting a V3, especially when you can have it in a couple of weeks instead of probably getting on for Feb next year for a V4. I should've advertised mine before I guess!

I expect you speak from a position of knowledge there?  No?

Possibly not, but as third party operations can provide the service for as little as 50 quid, as part of a presumably financially viable business, it doesn't seem unreasonable to assume the time involved in most cases (I'm probably not the only one who's seen a doctor once in the last x-decades!?) is not 'excessive'...

I didn't personally have issue with paying whatever my GP wanted to charge me as long as it was done in a timely fashion - the fee didn't turn out to be relevant however as mine is a 'conscientious objector to the holding of firearms', and refused to engage...

  4. All literally as new, demo'd from the yard of my local estate and then back in their boxes. You wouldn't know they'd been out of the packaging.

Rico LRF used a few times, but again as new.

    Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 PRO - RRP £3400, after £2900
    Pulsar Helion 2 XQ38F - RRP £2140, after £1800
    Infiray E3 Max V2 - RRP £1890, after £1550
Rico LRF (works with both RL42 and RH50) - RRP £515, after £325

Copy of original purchase invoice included should you need to use the warranty at some point, all bought in July so best part of the 3 year Pulsar warranty still remaining.

Collection from RG20 or posted by RMSD for a tenner.

  5. I have the one mile Bullseye which I brought on a whim, about 450 from OW. Only used it to about 500 yards to date but it works as advertised - even after I managed to shoot it with a rimfire 😂 If you can maintain line of sight to the target I don't see why it wouldn't work.

If I have nothing better to do sometime next week I will try it and test it at 1km-ish which is about as far as I can put out a target with line of sight.

I'm pretty sure its possible to achieve the same a lot cheaper, but being a techo-tard this looked like it would do the job so I bought it.

  6. Look to have finally found a nice matching Karabiner which I should be collecting this week.

Have a box each of the .323s Sierra make, 150SP/175SP/200MK. Anyone experience of reloading these (or any other bullet you can actually buy at the mo) for a '40s Mauser? Powder recommendations? Have N140/150 and RL15 on the shelf which seem to be good matches.

Mostly plinking but will take the odd Roe and Fallow.

    Cheers
    R.

The jag sounded nice at it pulled away vrooom vrooom 😁

My brief experience of an F-Type courtesy car was that that noise gets tedious pretty darn quickly, they really over-did the popping and banging, especially with the V6 - not being 17 anymore, it was close to embarrassing around town 😜 Also an unnecessarily harsh ride like a lot of 'sports cars' these days...grumble grumble!

  8. I’m not saying it wouldn’t be possible to shoot foxes at 350 with an XP, but personally I would choose something with more base magnification for that range.

Currently I would choose an Infiray Rico RL42 or if budget allows a Ward T-Ceptor Pro 55-3, both 12 micron with more useful base mag for long range foxing. The Rico RH50 is so also worth a shout but from my testing falls short of the Ward unit by a fair bit and doesn’t look so great value compared to the 42.
