  1. The only thing with base mag that high is the 75mm Senopex that Blackwoods are flogging, but its a big hunking heavy thing and as its not a well known brand which will effect how easy it is to move on when you want rid at some point. Anything else will be using digital mag to get to 8x mag or more which equals pixilation to one degree or another. Having said that, those scopes are all still plenty capable of shooting foxes to 250+ yards assuming you're confident about I.D. etc.

I would be looking at both 384 and 612 sensor units; T-Ceptor 55-3, 55-6, Infiray RL42, HIK Thunder/Panther, Trail/Thermion XP - depending on budget and what to you personally gives the best image at the mag you're likely to shoot with most, from experience peoples preferences can vary wildly - of the aforementioned scopes you will find someone will think its the best of them, whilst the chap next to him thinks its the worst!

  2. The following rules apply to posts in the For Sale (Private items only) section:

    • You must have been a member of the site for more than 1 month to sell any items.
    • You may only advertise SECONDHAND shooting related items that you are not selling for gain. If you wish to advertise shooting related items of any other nature you must sponsor the board and place your advert in the For Sale (Trade and UKV Supporter items) section.
    • You are limited to ADVERTISING 5 PRIVATE SECONDHAND ITEMS FREE PER CALENDAR MONTH -Anyone wishing to advertise more frequently must sponsor UKV.
    • You must fill in your profile to include your nearest postal city (not just county).
    • You must state a price. This is not an auction site.
    • You may not place an advert for a 3rd party (ie No "my mate..." etc).
    • You must state if the item is being offered simultaneously elsewhere.
    • Obviously, the advert must be legal.

    Probably location missing from profile?

  3. I have V3 and V4 next to each other, the V4 is definitely nicer swapping between powders, but I've yet to get the V4 to throw as fast as the V3, just because you can tweak the V3 Autothrow to dump very close your target charge weight. Early days as I've not used them side by side much but I wouldn't be disappointed if I had a V3 that's for sure.

  4. As I said, if the circumstances (inc location) are right. There was a 1200ish yard plinking/prs training type thing operating about 15 mins down the road from me (until he fell out with the land owner recently), he was charging £475 a day 1 to 1, with additional shooters at 75 quid a pop - and I know people were paying it ;s

Silverstone are doing ok I assume, as they're building a load more ranges.

Pretty sure silverstone scrapped that system very quickly as take up wasn't great.

Nope, https://www.silverstoneshootingcentre.co.uk/shop/membership-renewal/, that's the current costs - people will pay it and more if it fits them. Same with the £35/hour mentioned above - plenty of people will pay that and more if the circumstances are right and their wallet permits.

  6. Mines showing as due Monday as well, but was at Stanstead @ 11pm yesterday, so may still attract duty/vat; I've had 4 Autotricklers from Adam and been stung every time so not expecting to clear HMRC without a bill, but there's always a first time I guess 🤞

This setup works for me . I upgraded the rcbs trickler to an electric dandy one from the US . Nice and simple can do powder load and seat a bullet every 40 seconds or so . Bulk load from a rcbs basic thrower set to about half a grain low.

If I'm loading literally a few rounds for some reason I do this, just throw with a cheapo Lee thrower and then an RCBS trickler or fingers 😜

More than that its Autothrow/trickler, which will turn a primed case into a loaded round in something like 15ish seconds, 20 at a push.
