  1. Double stack, single feed aics compatible, 10 shot mags. £70 each posted, £135 the pair much lower height and also allow coal of 2.970”
  2. Borden alpine, bartelin 6.5 cm 22”, AIAX chassis,RRS arca grip, mae mod, 3-20x50. Shooting 140 eld-m
  3. I was amazed at how big the difference was even between 123gn and 140gn 6.5’s. Hitting the same targets at 7-800m the 140’s hammer while the 123’s ping. 139/140 gn bullets are where its at. And 115’s in 6mm if you must
  4. The bean bags are essential, tripods are optional
  5. Round 1. 6xc borden alpine in A3 edge tech with 3-20x50 pm2 13lb weight round 4. 6.5x55 r93 with 3.5-15x50 nxs 10lb weight round 5. 6.5cm borden alpine, aiax chassis, pm2 3-20x50 17 lb weight
  6. Best one yet. Mood was great, weather excellent, really good. The future for this is looking really good
  7. I use a tasmanian tiger bag for my folder, 22” barrel and mae mod fitted works. https://tasmaniantigerusa.com/product.php?id=85
  8. Im seating to 2.850”, speed circa 2700 at max load, im going to run 43.5 gn at orion prl final which is 2620 fps and consistently shooting sub 0.5” so far
  9. Im using n160 in hornaday brass with 140 eld-m’s. Just hit pressure signs yesterday lunchtime (28c outside) with 44gn load. Not compressed.
  10. Shot a nice little group last night with the 41.5gn ammo that i had left over from running it in. Load development starts now. My freshly repaired jewell trigger seems to work ok
  11. There are blueprints, and there are blueprints. Steve Bowers did a 30-06ai for a friend including a sleeved bolt. It was better than any high end custom, 0.001” bolt/body clearance but it wasnt cheap. Some builders just true an action which is good but not in the same league. Best to confirm what is actually being done and to what tollerance.
  12. Some velocity data. 22” bartelin, hornady brass, 0.002 neck tension, cci br primer, 140 eld-m creeping above book max with no pressure signs whatsoever
  13. And that wouldn't be checked or found out by the proof house.....
  14. That could be argued about for ages, but i wont bite.. best ask a professional rifle builder what they do and what their insurance allows them to do to find out what happens in the real world based on relevant good practice.
  15. Should cost sub £100 and it doesnt need re-proofing. Thats for a chop, thread and crown
  16. I imported 3 of these from the states, they worked out at £46 each after tax etc. This one is surplus, so for sale at £46. I will cover the postage
  17. I loaded n150 for 150gn sierras in a tikka t3 super varmint 24” in 30-06. It shoots really well. Cant remember load and not near my records but it would be book max load or 1.0 gn below or 0.5 gn below.
  18. is anyone using this combo? I'm about to start loading for the 140's and have loads of N160, is it worth using or should I go straight for RS powder? it will be for shooting in the PRL final initially, not the ELR day or anything, so about to 600m max. barrel is 22". I'm on a bit of a tight timescale to get it up and running with holidays/work and dies turning up (or not!), so don't want to be wasting any time. I also have 130's if they would be better with the n160, but am happy to use them up on other stuff thanks in advance
  19. I ordered 3 of these from the states, cost was $130 plus £36 vat/feed, so £46 each. Got a spare up for sale a £46, i will cover postage. Work in AICS bottom metals and AI type chassis.
  20. The final should be interesting. Anyone going from here who has only shot one other venue to firm up a place on the leaderboard? Or to get a team score? Be great to see some of you again
