  1. The BAT ones really compliment a quality floorplate like a sunny hill
  2. My pm2 has 60 clicks each way on the turret scale, i’d expect to have at least that. dont know that i’ll ever use it, but it would annoy me not to have it that would do 1000m in a 28mph wind
  3. Is the stock varnished or oiled? Its come back a treat.
  4. Terry, out of interest, what does the sentinel weigh all up? I remember mine being about 16lbs i think.
  5. I was unable to attend the guardian, would have liked to. I did hear criticisms of the COF and that it contained too much prone shooting. Im not sure the credibility of the source, or how he knew the COF unless he was familiar with the range? relative to PRL, i like a bit of prone shooting to get confidence and scores up, but certainly not too much, the multi positional stuff is what its all about.
  6. Absolutely not stirring anything Alan, as others have grasped, thread was started to promote a sensible discussion about what could be changed or improved based on participants feedback. I haven't posted anything on here that i haven’t or wouldn't say to Tiff himself. Ive supported Tiff since day 1 of RRC and attended every one of his shoots that i have been able to. If i was stirring i would have suggested a ban of Hawaiian shirts (and wearers of them), but I didn’t!!😘
  7. Ok, another from me.. UKD stages! do we really need them? It tests another skillset but there are alway people who have a cheeky ping with their “binoculars”. does PRS do UKD stages?
  8. My mum gave me 2, one works better than the other
  9. Thats not entirely true Dave. It would be more accurate to say PRL shoots are hosted for profit by businesses, PRL itself is not being run for profit. Tiff makes money at Roundhouse events only, and its a very poor hourly rate.
  10. The thread was started to be constructive, nothing else.
  11. I’ll start... dump the ELR day and run 2 PRL days but allow single day entry. That would potentially open up PRL to more shooters attending, still allow those travelling a long way 2 days shooting, allow those on a budget to compete, and spice up the leaderboard/competative side of things.
  12. Any comments, constructive criticism or ideas to share?
  13. Lets hope the PRL venues notice this competitive pricing and follow suit. Gardners were happy to charge the higher prices when they were associated with PRL, now they have separated they have made a smart business decision and undercut the rivals, this is good for the shooters. Lets hope it continues to grow countrywide to take some of the travel costs out of it too. Attending 5 PRL shoots can easily cost between £1500 and £2500 depending on ammo choice, location and accommodation preference, thats a lot of money for some to spend on shooting, over and above what else they spend on their sport.
  14. you can get 200mm/220mm arca plates for about £7 on ebay, that would work. just need some fixings
  15. 3 shot group in my creedmoor, using once fired brass from Tackb’s rifle. I guess he ran them in proper for me.
  16. I bought this from a forum regular (topscots1) to get my son to start shooting but he’s not really into it and also can use my other rifles so its not getting used. Heres the spec rem 700 short action with sleeved bolt, locks up real tight. custom bolt knob trueflight 1:7 twist barrel with 700 previous rounds and 420 by me, fitted by callum ferguson and shortened in my ownership by neil mckillop to 16.5”, threaded m18x1mm and reproofed in 2019. tier one rail timney trigger hs precision stock, alu bedding block and bedded recoil lug and 1.5” of barrel standard remmy floorplate green stock, black barrel £900 to your rfd shoots 69gn tmk’s to sub 0.5” 5 shot groups consistently to same poi. A vey accurate little gun. Would drop nicely into most chassis. pics by email
  17. Dolphin gun company muzzle brake, m18x1 thread, for up to 6.5mm projectile. originally fitted to my 6xc by neil mckillop, and ceracoated by FMJ. now surplus to requirements, £75 posted
