I just get wifey to do it for me, easiest method yet!

Drop the ELR element, replacing it with a precision rimfire comp would be mega and a great way to kick off the .22 PRL series.
-
Personally, I always go with the mantra of new barrel, new brass.

A good sling takes care of moving it about.
Dave, wait until you try hoiking it over your shoulder with your ARCA bipod.

Off the shelf, standard 24” Howa Varmint, in 6.5 Creedmoor, sending Nosler RDF’s around 2770. I put an MDT brake on it too. Scope wise, I did the first four rounds with a Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24x50 and finished with a Sig Tango4 6-24x50.
Stock wise I ran a KRG Bravo, which I filled with wheel weights and bolted some MDT weights to the side of. Also added a KRG ARCA rail for an Atlas bipod and an Area419 Rail Changer bag.
I can’t say I’d have done any better this year with any of my custom guns, I started the year at the bottom of a steep learning curve and any misses were down to me.

Funny how everyone tells you that you need a 10 thou jump or thereabouts! I’m using 139 Scenar’s in my 6.5 creedmoor, over 43.5g RS62 with CCI 450’s at 45 thou jump and getting from my Howa typically 0.6moa at 100 yards. Last chrono session gives me 2740 FPS with spread of 17 and sd of 6.9.
At 600 yards mostly v bulls or 5’s. Off to Bisley next week to see what they’ll do at a 1000.
If it works then maybe everyone should say "you need a bigger jump"?:D:D

I have really struggled to get anything better than 1 MOA with 140 RDF's and even then I get the odd flyer.
Out of interest, what sort of jump worked for you Baldie?
I use RS62, can't remember the weight off the top of my head, I get about 2670 fps with an ES of 30 😕 which is just pants.
Don't be afraid to jump them, I've used 140gr RDF's very successfully in a few guns and the jump has always been between 110-140 thou. Currently I'm running 42gr RS60, jumping 110 and getting 2770fps with an ES of 13 last time I ran them over the chrono, that's from a 24" factory Howa barrel.

Very much looking forward to this all kicking off

It'd be rude not to.

It was an awesome weekend of shooting, loving getting within reach of the top open guys with my factory Howa.

Properly FL every time, to just bump the shoulder back a couple of thou. I find primer pockets give out before anything else so no worries on over working brass.

Spent a week behind a buddies in the US, mostly plinking and learning some of the precision rifle basics before an NRL match. I really liked it, good mechanics, good glass and found it a nice all rounder.

Had mine for a week, they hooked up seamlessly with my kestrel, I was pinging trees at 1798y after work today. I’ll have mine at the Roundhouse this weekend for Rd1 of the UK Precision Rifle League if anyone wants to check them out?
-
Do you still have the 30mm med and high mounts available?
-
I'll be there too, mostly trying to look as cool as Josh and Rusty!
-
Looks great Dave, can’t wait to see how it shoots.
-
Great to see Mark, best of luck with the new venture.

Mine arrived today, thanks Lubo. I'm looking forward to burning my finger prints off later.

Great news, thanks Lubo.

Can't wait for mine to come, got loads of brass waiting!

I've just put my order in for one, bring on the increased OCD levels!
