Write down exactly what you want from a rifle and get one built by one of the great rifle builders we have.

It was a jolly good day out, great company, great shooting and given the conditions a proper challenge. Wifey has enjoyed all her visits to Gardners, especially her first SIS match, as some of the things she’s worked hard at started to click. It’s brilliant seeing more female shooters getting involved.

M18 is easy to get muzzle devices for, your muzzle is similar to mine and that's been my experience.

What make of bullets are winning the matches..
Which is the most popular bullet of choice.
The one I won was with 115gr Nosler RDF's, from a 6x47.

Thank you for that. I've checked my Tikka and the feed ramp is far enough away that even without the binder plate it wouldn't cause an issue at all. I think from reading plenty of reviews the MDT 12 round mag is the way to go and a little saving too compared with the Accurate Mag.
Who wouldn't want 20% extra pew?!

Be aware that mags without a binder plate can be a pita for feeding when the bullet gets stuck under the feed ramp. Even loading 150's I've never needed to load a Creedmoor so long it wouldn't work in a mag with the binder plate. The 10rd MDT ones are a bit shorter than the Accurate Mags as they're double stack so allow more ground clearance, the 12rd MDT mags are the same length but have more space for ammo!
There's a useful diagram here - https://mdttac.ca/308-6-5-creedmoor-mdt-metal-aics-magazine-12-rnd/

£100 any good for you?

If you can make actions to that quality absolutely. It's only worth doing if it's worth doing.

Stunning work on those Jack.

Just another tool in the box, I use mine mostly when night time shooting and have done the past few years. Their importance for shooting off in precision rifle shooting is massively over estimated by people who don't understand how to use them, the biggest advantage in those scenarios is use as a rear support.

That's what I wanted to hear, although will have to wait for a bit, as just bought a MDT ESS Chassis, thanks for the input I appreciate it
Nice! What have you put in the ESS?
The XRS is untouchable in that mid price stock range in my opinion.

Is it so difficult...? Well, suit yourself.
Small ammo, small spaces, large hands, it's an ordeal. As above I'll look for a single shot adapter, shouldn't be a problem as it sounds like a fun competition.

To be honest, I know some people who just pop the mag out the bottom of the rifle and and put one in for each shot...
I can't think of a worse way to spend a morning than doing that for an entire detail.

What have you got?
I bought a little single shot adapter for my Brno. Quite helpful for a few things I've found.
Scrummy
I've got a wee Lithgow LA101, will have a look at the single shot adapters, should be something easy to 3d print for example.

It looks like good fun, but I hate single loading my 22lr as it's such a pita. Be interesting to see what kind of groups are recorded

I’ve bought two and love them, it’s really well thought out. The choice of pistol grips and not needing to remove the cheek piece to remove/replace the bolt is a nice touch. The whole thing is a great package.

Looks great buddy, looking forward to seeing it.😊

They’ll be available shortly from all MDT stockists.
I’ve got a double pull Gen2 on order to go with my Gen1’s.

69gr TMK’s over N135 have worked great in every factory 1:9 twist Howa I’ve tried them in.

It’s shooting lead free Nosler E-Tip factory ammo sub 1/2”. I’ve only got a dozen shots down it so far.
Most pleasingly it weighs just 11lb with a mod and double pull Cyke Pod.
