  1. One of his questions to you may possibly be "Any chance of getting a day's shooting?" I agree he would be interesting to have a pint or two with.
  2. I won't split the package I'm afraid. PM me an email address and I will send it on the the craftsman who makes the slings.
  3. When the RFD are open again I will be looking for a Tikka T1 in .22 with a 20 inch barrel and a GRS Bifrost stock. Anyone interested in a deal with the M38?
  4. There is also the option of a fixed bayonet should the stalking get a bit hectic!
  5. I think this sums up the situation very well. I think it is nonsensical that someone who may or may not have some idea about firearms and ballistics can look at an area of land and declare it is "safe" for a .223 but not a .308. The responsibility of determining the safety of a shot must always rest with the shooter.
  6. In response to PM question, Leupold Customer Service have confirmed this scope has 1/4 MOA click adjustments.
  7. It is a very fine cross hair with a 1/8 MOA dot in the middle. Leupold reticle
  8. Schmidt & Bender Hungarian 8 X 56 Klassik. 30mm tube, A7 reticule. As new in box. I bought this new from MacLeod's as I planned to use my T3 Sporter as a dual purpose rifle, swapping between an NXS 12-42 and the Schmidt for range and stalking. In practice the T3 Sporter is too heavy for a stalking rifle so this scope has been two or three times to the range then has sat for several years in it's box doing nothing.Complete with bikini caps and Third Eye Tactical picatinny mounts. £400 posted UK.
  9. Leupold BR 36x 40mm adjustable objective benchrest scope. Fine crosshairs and 1/8 MOA target dot reticule, open and capped adjustment turrets, sunshade. Very good overall condition, minor ring marks as shown, no crimp or other damage. Optics are excellent and close focusing, I have been using it for 25yd .22 benchrest. Change of plan, I'm going to keep it. Withdrawn from sale.
  10. Thanks for the comments Jon. I have to agree that the leather work is very functional and does indeed compliment it very well. More photos including the pistol grip here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/lng4hmaj02dxvew/AACJ8LDXS9gLA_PKuxh9169Qa?dl=0

Accumounts USA reproduction of short side rail scope mount as fitted to Singapore and Norwegian Police rifles. Schmidt and Bender 4 x 36 scope which has some cosmetic wear marks, optics are excellent. Barrel bore, accuracy and overall condition very good with some minor wood scrapes and scratches commensurate with age. This is a light, handy and accurate little rifle. I am only selling because a shoulder injury combined with a couple of medical conditions getting worse mean that I need to reduce exposure to recoil. Accessories included: Jon Moore Leather reproduction M/41B sling and cheek rest M96 bayonet and scabbard Reference book “The Swedish Mauser Rifles” by Steve Kehaya and Joe Poyer Match shooting pistol grip 170 FNM cartridge cases, de-primed and steel media tumbled, approx 30 loaded rounds if FTF. 15. Thanks for the feedback. Mine was the same model, I have looked through a couple of others and found them to be the same, so it's my vision rather than the scope. I have needed several sessions of laser surgery to stop retinal haemorrhaging which may be why I don't get on with some scopes. As mentioned I am currently using a Leupold fixed 36X with fine cross hair and 1/8 MOA dot, that works well for 25yd benchrest on my Sako Finnfire P94S. That is Heavy Varmint Class, I also shoot Sporter Class with another Finnfire. What I am considering is moving to one rifle/scope to cover both classes. There are loads of scopes with high magnification, but getting one to focus at high magnification setting and 25yds is another matter.
  16. For .22 Benchrest. The X ring is minute, the target is shown actual size here: http://www.ukbr22.org.uk/index.php/home/ukbr22-targets.html
  17. I am researching a new target scope for 25 yard benchrest. At the moment I am using a Leupold fixed 36X which is excellent but am wondering about getting a variable from about 10X upwards as I may change rifles soon. The problem is getting a high magnification scope that will focus at 25 yards. I tried the big Hawke 10 - 50X but the highest that it will focus at 25 yards was only about 12X. Any suggestions for a suitable scope?
