Had dabble with my .22lr AR today the gun is a double star lower with a god awful trigger that breaks at something ridiculous, scope is a 1-6 x28;vortex strike eagle the upper is a tactical solutions and the rounds used were Winchester hollow point subs RWS match Eley match distance was 64 yard wind was fairly light and stable I took out a couple of sub 12 fx impacts but the pellets were being pushed all over the place best I could manage was about 2.5 “ with the .22 and 2” with the .20 really becoming a fan of the .20 .

You sure he shot you by accident Dave 🤔with some of the daft stuff that happened as a kid I’m surprised we made it to adulthood

The corbin set up looks like it has been perfected over the years and is producing some very good results. I have a variation in at the moment as soon as it lands I can start some testing

They are available from 43 to 65 grn and the gun should be good to throw them at around 1000 fps .there should be no need to have a skirted pellet at all with these

There is a guy on YouTube using a swaging die ,basically drop in a chopped section of lead wire into the hole in the die then force it in with a micro adjustable plunger . length/ weight adjustable and also,v expensive to set up ,the idea of being able to take 300 + yards shots on paper with an airgun appeals to me

Has anyone any experience either casting or swaging air gun slugs ,I have two fx impacts one of which will be going on my fac it currently has a 700mm smooth twist x barrel that should be suitable for slugs and I have asked for a .30 cal barrel that should be capable in excess of 100 ftlb so pellets wouldn’t be the best choice .

Agreed with the mag hadn’t thought about ratting was thinking More I couldn’t carry a magazine full of rabbits, nice set up .

Had a N355 when they came out ,from the outside most of the pulsar stuff looks very similar, only looked through thermal a couple of times and it’s just next level but silly expensive .

To the original poster the there are only few different parts between the original impact and the Mk2 barrel can now have different liners twist rates ,new system will fit mk1 larger magazine,ok for target but Imo pointless when hunting ,new system will fit mk1 larger gauges ,new ones will fit mk1 larger regulator ,not really necessary larger plenum ,probably get swapped for the new power plenum anyway more power more shots less air . the reason I like mine is they are so flexible If you like to tinker and change this you will love the impact mick

I have two a .20 lw barrel silver and a black .22 700mm stx that will be getting the power plenum an a .30 kit .variation in at the moment
