The BAR 22 returns

Recommended Posts

It's been a long time returning, but I have finally found someone willing and competent enough to do the machining on the rear end of the BAR 22 barrels.

And now that I have that out if the way I can finally get these back into production as there seems to be a demand for them
The barrels are Sassen .22lr blanks and can be offered in any length up to 20"
Still the best
Happy days

Mark,

Nice to see these available again!

For anyone looking, these rifles just 'work' and being based on a true 'AR' platform feel, function, strip as a 'real' rifle.

Out of interest what twist/no of grooves are you using or offering?

I wouldn't say there's anything truly special about it, but it needs to be done accurately.

I don't have the capacity on my mill with its small rotary head to do it, bro would rather put it out to someone with that capacity, who knows what they're doing with NC machinery, is keen and enthusiastic, can fit it in to their production schedule, do it in a timely manner, at a reasonable cost, and more importantly has a RFD

Ewen, price will be similar to a centre fire rifle, but I can't state exactly what as everyone wants something different,

Starting prices around £1500 I reckon and lead time once barrel supply is established about 2-3 weeks

Tidy, Mark.

How much for just the "upper/barrelled-action" (what my plod call it), 13" barrel, threaded?

Roy,

Yes they take S@W mags as well as the usual CMMG/Black Dog types

Ben, a basic lower assy is around £420, so an upper assy on its own would make up the difference.
