  1. I know there is at least one conditioned the same on open ticket with North Yorkshire as I've fired it. The bit I don't get is at a 96 grain reloads, or thereabouts, what is he going to achieve that I can't with my 308 running mid 40 grains of powder?
  2. No but I remember the NOD HASE and LASER as an OP on the sharp end.
  3. Do we? Certainly not the quantity I have seen in the past, same for me as the OP

    Which boots ?

I have Lundhags and Hanwags. Both good boots but the Hanwag is easier to get on and off. If expecting it wet though I go for the Lundhags (maybe plus Yeti gaiters depending on how wet is expected).
  5. Kydex, think thats spelt right, looks to be the best looking option IMHO but they are £25 for the sheath. Tempted to get one for my Mora 2000, anybody got any comments on these?
  6. Agreed. My stainless edges are acceptable to me so the rust is too big a negative to consider carbon steel alternatives.
  7. Matt generally speaking carbon steel will hold a better edge hence they are quite popular but suffer from rust as you are aware. The oil quench process would give it some degree of rust protection (not infallable though) but you would be re-heat treating the blade to accomplish this hence you would have to know what you are doing and hold the temperatures critically. Probably best to have a little bottle of cooking oil/olive oil to hand as I do for my cleaver and just periodically smear some on with your fingers. For me a kitchen knife, as in fairly daily use, carbon steel is a good option.............. but for field use especially involving meat and periods of it being dormant possibly in wet jackets/bags etc. stainless variants are the only real solution.
  8. Yep theres boning and theres "Boning" Nice video though, might have to watch it a few times to pick some tips up.
  9. I have one of these and it is a cracking bit of kit. Note they do have a low battery warning. When a certain level is reached the reading flashes and indicates that you only have a limited life left. I change mine as soon as this happens but I do carry a spare in the gun bag.

Hi I am based in leeds 25 not far from the A1. The rifle has had about 300 rounds through it by me but I bought it secondhand. Condition when I bought it would suggest it has not had loads through it. Off the top of my head the barrel is 22". Let me know if you want to view or have any more questions.

    Paul
