thekeeper Posted May 5, 2010 Report Share Posted May 5, 2010 hi tried my new toy sako 243 and had a nice rabbit 351 yds with 87gr vmax home load useing h414 45.1gr with a oal of 70mm and magtech primers , doing speed of 3420fps , so on the range finder 351yds then useing the ipod touch put in info range speed etc (apple do a great ballistics program for the ipod touch) and it needed 3moa on the s/b scope and so the rest is history one shot one kill as the saying goes , with me was my good friend and shooting partner ian who did 345yd with his sako 223 with 40gr vmax that was the only two shots we had in 3 hours but who cares great morning out. Those magtec must be hard primers too... still got some powder marks around neck of case witch indicates it will still take some more powder , but that would not give me the sub 1/4 inch group im getting at 100 yds so im happy wiyh load . 500 next Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
