I shoot a single shot 22BR 1:12 twist, launching 55 grn SBKs @3580fps it groups 2" at 500yds and i have taken rabbits at 470 yards and crows at 430. Longest fox was 230yds, unless you really want to stretch the range i dont think you need to go for fast twists and heavy bullets, just use a more suitable calibre, personally when i want to reach out past 500 i pick up my 257 AI. Believe it or not the fit was not too bad, i reckon whoever did it took the crests off the thread to tart it up a bit. Ian.

I did a thread correction for one of George's customers, it was the most shocking muzzle thread i have ever seen. Rifle was a very nice Sauer Outback in 308 that had been threaded by a "reputable" shop. This so called 1/2x20 UNF was .484" diameter, did not have an undercut at all, was torn and had no chamfer on the muzzle end. The moderator would not butt up against the shoulder but the customers previous mod (T8) went on no problem!! All i could do was chase the threads form an undercut and make sure the shoulder was perpendicular to the bore, ideally the muzzle should have been re-threaded but due to the fluted barrel, re-threading would have cut into the flutes, something the customer did not want. I had a photo but my PC crashed last weekend and i have lost all my previous files. Ian

The shirts have never been available, i did not order any, there was plenty of interest initially but when it came to ordering with payment up front not enough people placed orders to make it viable. When i re-launched the project again with a reduced price and just the chest logo, interest was equally unresponsive, so i abandoned the idea. Ian.

Hi guys, I have put this information up here so it does not get swamped under all the general discussion stuff. Nearly 70% of those who were polled showed a preference for a Polo shirt so this is what i submitted for a quote. A Forest green polo shirt with the logo my daughter developed on the left front chest and rays slogan "Nothing Smacks Like a Vmax" across the shoulders, will cost £23.45 each based on 20 garments, plus whatever it costs for me to send it to you, lets say about £1.50 as a round figure. This price is of course substantially more then i first quoted, this because of the extra set up costs and extra embroidery for the slogan on the back. If you are happy with this please submit your orders to me by PM and i will give you payment details etc..... Ian.
