lancslad
Being a left handed freak, there isnt much out there for us and having searched high and low for something that would 1 - Be in synthetic. 2 - Be a lefty. 3 - Not have a stainless Barrel. 4 - Be "short". So I eneded up with the Tika T3 Lite. Had it chopped off by 2 inches and stuck a DM80 mod on it and a S&B Scope. But what else can you do with the Tika, it seems that if your a right handed "free mason" and you own a remmy 700 that the world is your oyster. Are there any custom stocks for this rifle, Im using it for doing the foxes and the Roe and want to "pimp my ride". Any offers of advice are appreciated. .243happymeal
try www.jacksonrifles.com he had some camo pattern robertson stocks in for the T3 lite on his list, I think they where all right hookers but its a good place to start
baldie
Manners are now doing stocks for the t3, although they aren,t yet on his site. They will do a l/h one at no extra cost. We are the UK agent for them. Drop Tom an e-mail and ask what he could do for you [ it may take a few days, he,s at the SHOT show ]. Jackson rifles do robertsons as already mentioned, and i would guess mcmillan would inlet for whatever you require. The jackson cg trigger is truly excellent on the t3, and transforms it. jma
Dare i say???????????? Start shooting right handed rifles?? I am left handed, but would never ever buy a left handed rifle. Resale value/trade in sucks, finding a buyer is about as bad. Finding something you really want is even worse!!!!! Its not that difficult to shoot a right handed rifle ...lefty regards jma

lancslad
Cheers baldie, will have a "shuftie" at manners. JMA, had enough of shooting right handed guns when I was in the army, it just doesnt feel natural for me to do it in civvy street when out in th field, its all about the confidence thing as far as Im concerned. Your right about the resale values and all that sort of stuff, but I had a good look around, a good check, did a load of research and thats why I went down the T3 route. But I only buy "once" and will not be trading it in or selling it on so Im not bothered that much about that side of things. Spanner, yep your right, stalking is in scotland. jma
Fair enough, Lancs Lad TBH i am that used to shooting right handed rifles, i think i would find it a tad strange to shoot a left handed version. Pluse my SMLE and K98 never came in the left handed option..... I used to have a T3 Varmint .223 (right handed of course) it was a nice rifle dont know why i ever sold it regards jma

Mash67
i'm left handed, and although i have had right handed rifles, namely my first ive been using left hand ones for 20 odd years and with the selection about now there is no point in shooting right handed. i agree its easier to get right handed rifles but there is now quite a selection for us southpaws perhaps those that have been shooting right when they are left have been doing it so long that it is quite natural and they did this because of limited choice in the beginning, but there is only the need now for more specialist stuff. shoot the way you were made its more natural and usually your master eye coincides with your handedness if your buying custom stocks nearly all manufaturers do left as well. matt
Mash67
about the pimping, use the search engines on your pc . there is something for you out there you just have to look harder. i have remingtons and sako's and they may be easier than a tikka but persevere. gazzar15
I was never really a rifle shooter as such I had a couple of semi- autos when we could own them and after the handgun ban then I turned to rifles proper.I am a lefty and initially shot right handed guns but found it awkward.I made a decision to go lefty whenever I could a good few years ago and since then the only right handed bolt guns I own are ones that I would only ever shoot off a bench or bipod 338 lap and an AI AE in 308.It would seem nowadays that we are catered for a lot better than years gone by.I currently own lefties in Blaser ,Remington,Savage,Heym and HS precision models and there are a lot more out there on top of that lot.You can also get plenty of goodies as well for Remmies and clones in particular. baldie
Accuracy international now do the folding AICS in left hand. We had the first two, and they are very nice.......
gazzar15
I was looking at the Sporting services website several months ago and they had left handed AICS stocks for sale bought one and had it home and fitted within 2 days (damn sight quicker than some other famous names I can think of)I ditched a McMillan A5 in favour of this and to be honest it has transformed the rifle.I am aware of the Armalon conversion but at £250 it makes the AICS expensive. The factory lefty item is the same price as the right hander or very close. Why pay £600 plus for a McMillan and then £300 for a mag kit with a spare mag and wait forever to boot? It is good to see Brit products being competitive like this.

JMA is right, you pay a lot more for them new and get a lot less when you try to sell them s/h. That goes double selling to an RFD.
