CSR Skills Development Course Tips

After shooting for a few years taken the plunge and booked the CSR skills dev course at Bisley in Nov.

Anyone got any hints beyond what is on CSR website - thankfully have decent waterproof boots and suitable clothing to do it (kneepads in combats etc).

Using a 20" ar15, made by mark bradley with 2-10x32 scope which should be suitable.

Have a campervan so can get down there the night before and get a good sleep rather than driving down at stupid o'clock!

Don't suppose anyone else from here is going?

Just bring your rifle and ammo. Decent clothing as you have stated and an open mind.

Apart from that, just listen, learn and enjoy it.

There will be plenty of shooting and butts duty, standing, kneeling, sitting and prone positional.

After that, throw yourself into a competition, tell them it's your first one and they will squad you with an experienced shooter.

Best way to learn is in competition. Don't expect to do brilliantly, just start by trying to get as many shots on the target as possible.

Some people will scoff if you tell them you have to hit an 18MOA wide target, with a 4MOA bull at 100 yards, but standing with a 3 sec exposure, lots of people miss!

CSR isn't easy, if it was there would be a lot more people shooting it.

It is, however, the best fun you'll have on a UK range.

Many thanks for that - pretty much what I expected.

Played airsoft for about 10 years so used to snap shooting, and had a go at McQueens before and enjoyed the snap shooting aspect of it, so this should be good.

Intending to do the dec competition shoot using what I learn and hoping can get a few on target! Just bought waterproofs planning ahead for then ;)
