DaveT
Just seen a SKY report about a short-sighted soldier (who was not wearing his contact lenses) who shot and killed another soldier on the range thinking he was a target! Worrying about civilians capabilities and keeping us off of ranges seems a bit hypocritical. Apparently the culprit had previous been rejected because of badeuyesight but somehow got in.😏

I don't recall any particular moves to deny civilian shooters based on capabilities

And with 30-40 Kgs on there back. Not really a civilian practiced form of shooting. I also haven’t seen any push to keep civilians from ranges. DaveT
It was more a punt at being kept off of field firing ranges for no good reason.

What reason were you given ? That does not justify a good reason ?
