50 Cal

Hi All , Can anyone tell me if there would be any additional requirements by a Firearms Dept for holding a 50 Cal     ?

I believe a key one is the premises must have an alarm fitted. Dunno if there's a specific type that's required though.

As it's going through Parliament and the requirements haven't been signed off yet, I'd be holding off

But reading the proposals I'd imagine the new requirements would be separate safes for rifle, bolt and ammo as well as a Grade one monitored alarm

The ban \ restrictions on weapons that produce 13,600J has been removed from the current proposal going through parliament but Victoria Atkins (minister behind the bill) has not ruled out another review on them in the future - this may result in no changes \ enhanced security \ some other restrictions that they see fit to introduce or even an out-rite ban.

So as things currently stand there is no change but how long that will be for is anyone's guess

So Guy's , At this very moment ...... Do you require anything different to keep a 50 Cal other than what is required to keep our other rifles  ?
