banus02
good afternoon, dont blame the bullet, many things can happen when you shoot live quarry.you load data looks fine, you could up the powder a bit for more velocity but no much will walk after being hit with your load.as for the jaw shot you were able to get to the fox and dispatch it quickly which was good.the more animals you shoot the more they will supprise you.i have hit foxes in the chest with 110gr hollow point varmint 308 at 50 yards and had them run 30/50 yards .when recovered their body was shredded and should never have moved but they did.does make you question why some times. justin credible
I use 52gr bullet in my 22BR and have never had anything run, but like Banus02 I've shot stuff with a .308 and had it run. Just doesn't make sense when you see the utter devastation that was caused.
Grum87
I've taken a bib shot on a fox at 15m with a 155gr Amax from a 308, it was a bag of bits with an exit wound out the top of its spine the size of its head, and it still tried to snap at me when I picked it up. Never underestimate the power of adrenaline.
