Toby
6BR Sako Measured datum line on once fired cases and full length sized them with Forster FL die and Co Ax press. Set back shoulder 0.03". Loaded with 105 AMax to Normas c.o.l for the cartridge (60mm) Should there be a slight crush fit when you set the shoulder back 1-3 thou? I noticed that there was a difference between new factory loads and my own homeloads sized as above. Checked bullet tips just in case they were contacting the lands but no marking. Rifle throated to shoot 105s so that shouldnt be the issue. Back to the drawing board and size a little more...... Lapua 105 scenar shot very well :-)
The Gun Pimp
Check your re-sized empty cases for fit in the chamber with the firing-pin/spring assembly removed. On an empty chamber, the bolt will drop freely. Ideally, with a re-sized empty case in the chamber, the bolt-face should just 'kiss' the brass when you close the bolt. However, you'll never get every case exactly the same so some may exhibit a little more resistance and some none.
