The logo on the second one is that of the Artillerie Werkstatt Dresden.

"St" means "strengthened", the number following is the lot number of the ammo.

Apr 1915 and Dezb 1916 are obviously the dates of manufacture.

As mentioned, these are cases from World War One for the German Army's 7.7 cm Feldkanone 96 neuer Art. In English this means 'Field gun (cannon) 96 new model'.

HL is the brass manufacturer's mark, Haniel Luege Düsseldorf, with the 21 underneath being the inspection mark.

St. is short for the German word Stark, which as previously mentioned means strengthened and refers to a stronger design (thicker walls) of the case.

KARLSRUHE PATRONENFABRIK is the manufacturer Patronenfabrik Karlsruhe. In English this means 'Ammunition Factory Karlsrure'.

How did I know you'd know that ;)

Thanks for your help,

Did a bit of research myself now I know where to start looking.

Had a look at that Field Gun and saw that it had an effective range of just over 5km
