longbow3
I am looking for advice on what sling to choose for shooting off the elbows my rifle weighs a ton and it is very hard to stabilise for an off the elbows shot does anyone know which particular sling would help me to steady my aim and allow me to actually hit the target Ray
MrCetrizine
If you only want it as support and not to carry the rifle then I'd recommend an ISSF style arm loop type sling such as this. http://www.edinkillie.co.uk/ecatalog/centra-startline-sling-p-844.html?cPath=9 There's a reason they evolved in precision shooting. jcampbellsmith
I unclip my niggeloh sling from the butt and reclip it onto the Harris bipod giving me a Ching sling. I have the sling set slightly longer than I would normally prefer to give me a comfortable loop. When I've finished using the Ching sling, I clip it back onto the butt. farmer7
I have a TAB Gear RAS sling which is nicely made and has an adjustable arm loop for positional shooting. I ordered direct but I think Sporting Services were going to start stocking them.
blackburnbuccaneer
+1 on the TAB Rapid Adjust Sling, it is very adaptable and can be converted from two point to single simply by slipping ones arm through the arm loop sliding the keeper buckle down then pulling on the adjust tab to adjust to the length needed. I have used it in a couple of sporting rifle competitions and found it to be easy to use and supremely stable as compared with a traditional two point model.
