MJR
Surely it depends if the rfd is vat registered?

Big Al
Just out of interest - do new rifles/guns incur VAT? if so is this the standard rate at 20%? By 'new' Im assuming you mean a Tikka or Remmy or Beretta when bought from a shop as opposed to a rebarrel or custom job from a small gunsmith? VAT is certainly included in the price of a new gun from a retailer regardless of whether it is shown or not, that would depend on if the retailer was VAT registered. 1967spud
if the annual sales for the shop/smith/retailer are over 86k in any 12 month period (i think its that figure) they have to be VAT registered
SWShooter
If you , the buyer are VAT registered and use your rifle/kit for your business you can only reclaim the VAT if you buy your rifles/kit from a VAT registered dealer ie a VAT invoice is issued at the time of purchase.
