As i've injured my leg and can't go out to play, I got bored and decided to photograph my current collection.

A new ISSF spec .22 target rifle and a .308 AI to be added this year if my variation ever comes back.

....But I don't understand the need to post pictures of all one's firearms, nor the practice of listing them under your name and the town you are from.~Andrew

It's interesting to see what other people have.

It's not my name, it's the pills I have to take pretty much all the time.

It's simply the closest postal town as per the selling section rules.

Loving the Tikka, Mr. C.

I've got the very same myself and I wondered if you can tell me which model of monopod you have on it and where did you get it from, please?

Cheers. Paul

Cool pic :) reminds me of the style of the weapons pages in the Falklands War magazine collection I gathered at school.

Thank you.

I'll have a look on their website and see if I can get one for mine. It looks just the job.

Ive not heard of the .300AAC Blackout Please tell me more about it and why that calibre for you please?

Is it a .223 necked out?

Posted

.300 AAC Blackout was developed by Advanced Armament Corporation for the US military to provide a cartridge that could deliver similar muzzle energy to the 7.62x39mm used in the AK47 but in the AR15 platform.

It is essentially a .223 case cut down to 35mm and necked to .308

All you need to do to an AR15 is change the barrel. It uses a standard .223 bolt carrier group and magazines.

It can be loaded for both subsonic and supersonic applications and in a semi or full auto rifle, requires no change in gas settings to switch between the two.

I chose it because it was different and seemed like fun. It's a great plinking round. Cheap to run and fairly accurate at short range.

I have a friend who now uses a bolt action .300 AAC exclusively with subsonics for foxing. They are very quiet and a 220gn bullet pretty much guarantees a quick humane kill.
