DTA SRS Bag Rider, mini review

This product is made Davy (Shooting Shed) on here and I got it from Gary C (March Optics)....it is made from aluminium and replaces a normal spacer . Machining is excellent, really solid and top quality.

It was designed for F Class with the DTA but I want to use it for tactical comps with a small bag. I shortened the bar by an inch to allow for a drop free magazine.

DTA rifles are excellent however the butt attachment system allows for a bit of play. This would not give any advantage to using a bag rider over the rear monopod or better resting the stock on the rear bag. So first thing is how to get rid of any play......I came up with the idea of a small rubber pad (the yellow thing) stuck on the top of the attachment plate which fills a gap between the plate and inside the stock (stops some lateral movement

However most of the movement is taken out by attaching a U shaped bit of plastic to the monopod and just tightening the monopod down on top of the bag rider,

I wanted to use the bag rider as something to grip and control the rear of the rifle easily and quickly (not really riding), for me the monopod gives too much lateral play........dry firing using small targets I can sense some lateral movement, using the bag rider stops this and places the bag in a much nicer position than trying to rest it on the butt spacers.
