Shootist
Some friends are opening a new shooting shop and indoor ranges in Arnold, Nottingham NG5 7ER.It's the basement of an old mill building that's now a business centre.https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.00...6ZiA!2e0?hl=enThe shop will be catering to all shooting interests from specialist full bore to rimfire, and in particular airgun shooting. In addition to the shop there is a café, and two separate 25 yard indoor ranges, one of which will be for airguns, the other for rimfires.Launch dates cover two days, Friday 12th and Saturday 13th September. Got to be worth a look at what could well become one of the best set up shooting shops and facilities in the East Midlands.N.B. I have no association with the owners, other than friendship. Apologies if this should breach some forum rule I didn't see,
MrCetrizine
Are they associated with the guys at East Midlands Regional Range?
Shootist
Not to my knowledge. It is an independent retail concern.
pengo
Are they associated with the guys at East Midlands Regional Range? No, they're not. As already stated, they are an independent RFD who trade under the name of Wentworth Sporting Supplies. Chris and Amy Pannell are really nice, friendly people, who will help you wherever they can and as they are both very keen shooters themselves, it's nice to see them doing well (hopefully). It might be worth a peek at the opening event, I gather there are competitions and prizes available. I also have no commercial interest other than personal experience. Cheers. Paul. Bangbangman
Bangbangman, did they shoot CSR with us last year?? If there who I think they are, their very nice people! They came to one match over the winter league, I wasn't at that match, though. Both enjoyed it but they have young family and both have (had?) other careers as well as RFD so rather busy! bradders
Yes they've been to a CSR match or two, ergo good people. If I'm right, they also usually have a well stocked stand at the Phoenix Hope they do well

Jamie
I went to their opening day yesterday. Nice size shop, and plenty of room to view all the products. There were a fair few guns and associated products already on the shelves, and more being put out the whole time I was there. Just to point out we got there early, hence items still being put on the shelves. But judging by all the boxes, they should have a decent amount of stock. There was a large display of various brands of bullet heads, and I'm well chuffed, as I managed to bag 400 .224 .52 grain A-Max and a box of 55 grain V-Max in the same calibre. As for powders, the main brands that I saw at that time were vihtavuori and Ramshot, but there may well have been other brands waiting to be put out. There was a nice café type affair there to, with tables and chairs. And a nice leather sofa I made use of! Very friendly people to deal with, and I wish them all the best.
