gaz6br
Hunt frogs?? How come frogs? If it had just been mowed it was probely mopping bits up that had been mowed up, mice, ground nesting birds ect. Don't worry a pulled shot or the target moving as you pull happens to all from time to time Gaz
gunner
I wounded one bad not too long back , i managed to get a second shot once it had slowed - this was about 350 ish by now in the hedge , i rushed down to confirm . He had passed ! But it happens , always makes me feel bad - every time ! I took my friend out ( he was shooting .243 ) for charlie Thursday eve , it was 210-220 yard with his 243 hit low , it ran , again , it slowed enough and he instantly shot - finish him clean . Its some times not a nice experience .
Big Al
Dont beat yourself up about it, if Charlie moves as you commit to the shot its hardly poor shooting, more a case of bad luck.
Jamie
At least your honest enough to admit it! So fair play to you. Happens to everyone who shoots live quarry at some point.... I shot a squirrel last week. Very fast animal! I ended up with a gut shot. Thankfully, it fell from the tree near me so I was able to quickly end it's misery. Always makes me feel bad for the rest of the day though.....
Paddy_SP
If I hear frogs calling, I always check to see if Charlie is nearby. Many is the time that I've found him hunting them.

Guest Stacka
I hit a cub once and the round (Sako arrow head) just went straight through for some reason, I put a second in and that was it game over.

Jason smith
Shot this one at 180 clipped with the first had to take a second shot ,anyone who shoots regular will have this happen to them,I have not had to use a follow up shot in a long time.it happens to us all,we all try to place the first round, but sometimes it does not happen as we want at least it never ran off wounded, and you sorted out the problem with a follow up shot, well done.
