Today saw round 3 of the 100 yard league.

We had some great weather for Diggle, sunshine and light winds, however the wind increased and caused everyone a problem or two at some stage.

The full set of wind flags has now been assembled and they were very handy, great work to all those involved. Also after last time and our 2 bench rotation, we went all out for a full 5 bench rotation this time, this means shooting from a different bench each time to ensure complete fairness. Well done to Tony Lenton for all his hard work in organising the targets and competitor cards for this, we all enjoyed it.

In Heavy Gun the lead changed hands several time during the day and it came down to the last relay to decide the top 3, a great fight to the death.

This was also the final practice for those who are going to the European Championships at the beginning of July.

So to the scores, here is the summary.

Heavy Varmint

1. Bruce Lenton - 0.261" (average of 5 x 5 shot groups)

2. Darrell Evans - 0.273"

3. Tony Lenton - 0.287"

Small Group – Darrell Evans - 0.140"

Sporter

1. Stuart Benson - 0.621"

2. Jack Mills - 0.630"

3. Mary Marsden - 0.701"

Small Group – Stuart Benson - 0.334"

As usual the full results can be seen in the link below.
