Photon any good?

I know it is cheap (for NV), but I'm after a setup for rimfire vermin (rabbits, some rats, possibly some fox at closer range), and was hoping it would be good enough! :)

Is it a waste of ££, or are they usable?

Thanks!

I like mine and feel it is excellent value for money for the occasional NV user. I was watching a fox at 250 yards last night and could easily identify it as such. Rabbits could also be seen at over 200. I use the NM400 IR but believe the T20 are as good and cheaper. My only criticisms of the scope are that the focus can be a little fussy sometimes, the image is a bit bright and grainy at times and the adjustments dont track as well as my PMII!!! Interestingly I am spotting with thermal then switching to the photon for final confirmation of ID before the shot. Both foxes and rabbits appear to react to the IR. The photon is not great as a spotter incidentally

Day optic quality they ain't, value for money and fit for purpose they are.

I've got two and a gen3 and a thermal spotter and more diy digital gear than is really necessary, lol

Guest Stacka

I'm using one on a Tikka M595, with a NM800 IR,

Iv shot foxes out to 250 yards. Great piece of kit for the many easy rivals Gen 2 stuff.

I have lots of photos, I will post in due course
