  9. Have bumped shoulder back because that was my first thought I will try some factory ammo and see what it feels like if stiff to close with that then maybe extractor issue as you say regards lee
  10. Hi Steve does indeed sound similar to yours but unlike you i wouldn’t be confident changing out the extractor , I was out after fox other night and again hard to close bolt fox appeared bang round ejects fine , home clean small pieces brass and rough rim , I suppose even if I get bolt looked at the brass now damaged would be right off
  11. I have a Remington 700 vssf in 223 just lately I have had trouble with the bolt been stiff to cam over into firing position , and noticing brass bits brass around bolt face I have checked head space thinking brass wanted bumping but that doesn’t seem to be the problem, the rims of the brass are rough to the touch too what are your thoughts? , I am wondering if whatever chewing the brass is presumably what’s making the bolt stiff thanks in advance lee

  13. My youngest as started asking about shooting so tried him on air rifle and to be honest it was a bit of a struggle , I and my eldest are both right handed and all our rifles are set up that way , so my question is do I try to get him to shoot right handed, I think I will struggle , or look to let him go his own way as I were , Got me thinking what do they do with lefties in the services can’t think they would have lefty rifles or do they ,any tips or thoughts welcome regards lee

  15. yes David was just maybe poor choice of words on there part as quality changes but principle the same the bkl range tackles this in a different way but not convinced ,ok for air rifle and rimfire possible, maybe that’s there market / limit regards lee
  16. Just don’t understand why they said dont centralise like the bkl ones , strange thing to say otherwise most mount design would be slightly off , or are they and if so is it a big issue lee
  17. Anyone had issues with getting rings to suit , I’ve had some bkl 300 sent and scope sits far too high, when asked ow about alternatives like sport match they said trouble with them they don’t self centre like bkl s is this a significant problem? Presumably they are talking about mounts pulling over to one side because how clamp part works ! Regards lee Should add 11 mm dovetail on my cz
  18. Scope arrived yesterday great service ,as was listed 3-5 days delivery couple freebie always nice , first impression of scope looks promising can’t wait to try it in the field but sadly will have to as the mounts are far to high for me and not that struck on them (Bkl 300) anyway emailed ow hopefully here something today ,any recommendations as to mounts cz452 think 11mm like scope sat down regards lee

  21. Hi Elwood do you see 44 mm as a disadvantage with pard , in other words if youd had the choice would you have gone 50 mm , as the 44mm is a fair bit cheaper and available with the 22 lr Ret and slightly lower starting mag regards lee
