gunner Posted February 7, 2014 Report Share Posted February 7, 2014 has any .20 ruger or 20 tactical / practical shooters shot these bullets ? im wondering will they stabilise in a 9" twist ? i have 200 of them / but gun not re-barreled yet ! i used the berger stability calculator and it came out at 1.1 or 1.2 i think ! kinda midway between not stabalise and will stabilise ? garyw Posted February 7, 2014 Report Share Posted February 7, 2014 they will be spot on in a 1/8 or faster as for the 9 twist you will probably get them to shoot with good load development. i had a 12 twist on my tac 20 and the 40 bergers and vmax were deadly on vermin with REL10X. Alycidon Posted February 8, 2014 Report Share Posted February 8, 2014 Boys on the Saubier forum say they by and large they work fine in a 1 in 9. I shoot a 1 in 9 (20BR) throated for 50s, against fur and feather up to about 250 yards I favour 39gr SBKs purely for their splatter effect. Not quite as accurate though. You can probably get some 50s from Norman Clarke in Rugby, he had a lot on his clearance table last time I was up there but that was some months ago.
