gunner Posted February 7, 2014 Report Share Posted February 7, 2014 has any .20 ruger or 20 tactical / practical shooters shot these bullets ? im wondering will they stabilise in a 9" twist ? i have 200 of them / but gun not re-barreled yet ! i used the berger stability calculator and it came out at 1.1 or 1.2 i think ! kinda midway between not stabalise and will stabilise ? garyw Posted February 7, 2014 Report Share Posted February 7, 2014 they will be spot on in a 1/8 or faster as for the 9 twist you will probably get them to shoot with good load development. i had a 12 twist on my tac 20 and the 40 bergers and vmax were deadly on vermin with REL10X. I shoot a 1 in 9 (20BR) throated for 50s, against fur and feather up to about 250 yards I favour 39gr SBKs purely for their splatter effect. Not quite as accurate though. You can probably get some 50s from Norman Clarke in Rugby, he had a lot on his clearance table last time I was up there but that was some months ago.
