Strangely Brown
When reloading .303 I drill the primer pocket holes with a 2.2mm drill for uniformity; it's surprising the difference in "feel" when the drill goes in as to the variation in primer hole size. Does anybody else do it, and should I do it with quality 308 brass like Ruag & Lapua?
ejg223
Wouldn't a reamer be better....if one can get a 2.2mm reamer. edi
John MH
0.080 reamer is what I use, don't know if it makes a difference with quality brass but it does with Winchester Brass.

Swamp Donkey
christ if i drilled a hole in the center of this hornady brass i'm working on i would have 2 holes Lol. I had some real carp 'hornady' brass, headstamped 'frontier' in factory hornady .222 ammo, decapping after the first firing was a touch 'stiff' as the decap pin forced the flash hole open, they were worse quality than ppu, so I loaded them for a foxing load, and have been the only brass I've not at least tried to pick up after use.
