6mm BR question

Hi guys and gals,

 

A mate of mine is looking to build a 6BR on a remmy action. So far he's decided on a 1-8" twist and he hopes to shoot from 60gr to 115gr, but the issue of what reamer and all the info and technical mind warping detail out there is frying his brain and in-turn then frying my brain....

 

So we're looking for a little advice ... 6mm BR to shoot 60gr to 115gr without neck turning, where both bullet weights can be seated comfortably .... any thoughts on a reamer??????

115gr in 1-8" is always on the limit. In a 6mmbr it's a no go just so you know.

what would you consider the upper and lower limit of of bullet weight in a 6mm br with a 1-8" barrel?

Forget it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,tooo extreme range,,,,,,,, 60 to 80g then 12 twist ,,,,,,,87 to 108 then 8 twist,,,,,beyond that then in my thoughts are to get a bigger gun??,,,,

My 6br is 1-8 I have only shot 87gr and 105gr. In reality there is no need for anything else.

Have you tried the 105 Hybrids Scotch? I'm interested as I'm just about to build a 6 Hot with a 1 in 8.

My 6BR 1in8 likes the Berger 108's - not tried anything heavier.

Whilst not a 6BR i had a .243 with a 1:8 barrel and it shot 105g Amax incredibly well.

My 6br is a 1 in 12" twist and will shoot bughole 87gr v-max at 3,150 fps and 75gr v-max equally as accurate at 3,280 fps....

My 6br 1/8 twist krieger barrel loves the 105 Amax at 2750fps and realy loves the 87 vmax at 3100fps
