am i wrong in saying that the group by the OP is in fact smaller than what he has shown as i and many others i know measure the groups from the centre of the bullet holes as thats where the bullets has entered.

It is easier and more precise without calibre guages, to measure the overall size and then subtract the calibre.

As in the small print of title .392

ie (.635-243)=.392

But either way comes to the same size-edge to edge can be easier to do,depends on the clean cut of the bullet holes.

I shot one Friday square on in the chest at about 75 yards no exit wound, phenomenal round for foxes.
