Sakotrg
Hi, Does anyone on here own a Tikka T3 Sporter? I am curious on how the bipod is mounted and what scope mounts you have used. Thanks in advance
Chris-NZ
OK, I'll answer if no-one else will I've got a std T3 SS Lite, well at least the stock and action is sort-off fairly std except for the fluted bolt. It came with std QD studs so you just plug the Harris straight on. The rifle also came with Optiloc rings so that's what's still on it. Good solid rings that won't mar scopes and hold on well but I may succumb to lighter rings shortly to lose a few more ounces as it's a spook-n-shoot deer gun. palo
The T3 sporter looks to be the standard tikka t3 varmint in a new stock. Mounts would be the same as any other tikka and the stock has a rail under the forend which i imagine is the same as the sako trg. Hi, Does anyone on here own a Tikka T3 Sporter? Scotch_egg
Optiloks scope mounts from sako with fit. You could also use a picatinny rail from EGW. The stock has an anschutz rail under the forend which will take a stud adapter.
ChrisF
I like the look of them , BUT as they are priced in the same league as a TRG-22 etc , I know which , I would buy , Opps and its not the Tikka , as I think its why over priced . Can you recommend any factory ammunition that you have found to be quite good? I intend getting into the homeloading scene soon but would like some out of the box stuff to use in the meantime (Spud has offered to sort out some Lyman kit for me). I am intending ordering up some different types to find what suits my rifle and looking for a starting point.
