Just in time for Christmas!

After realising that my positional shooting was, being polite, 'not so good' I thought I'd better put together a 22 for practice.

She's just back from painting (She's a 'she' as she's an Annie :) )

Martin,

I thought about chopping the barrel but the Annie's choked. The scope might be sprayed later, but i'm going to have M1 turrets fitted to this scope in the New Year so after that maybe

What's that rifle? Win 52, Rem 40 or similar?

Onehole,

Trying to get to the range is a bugger, missed the Xmas shoot on the 19th

Happy Xmas

Thanks for the Merry Xmas Terry, same to you, catch up sometime and will get you out on the moors when its a bit warmer{Mar?Apr} Yeah thought it may be choked,if you do chop it the worst you will see is anschutz sporter accuracy which is still pretty good as I am reliably? told they are not choked? I should think not, Martin! How's my old Winchester 52B shooting for you? That moderator's a nice match...

Regards, Tony

Hello Tony..

Your old Win 52B is shooting like a Demon ! When I first shot it at the range ....didn`t bother with 50 yards...I went straight out to 100 yards and after bore sighting it, then coming up about 3 foot  ....I fired a 10x shot 1.5 inch group with Lapua Super Club.

Next time I will take a Bipod and rear bag and see if i can tighten that group up a bit .. ;)

I failed to remember what year you said it left the winchester factory....so I looked it up....1947 :o

I hope its replacement is giving you some fun,,,

Your quite right Terry...she`s a 52 of the B vintage....

PS...Get it chopped from the other end and keep the choke !!

Sounds daft ? I wonder ??
