  1. nCognitos Thank you for feedback as very interested in the CZ barrel accuracy. My assumption i need a Lilja is probably wrong. As i am building on a budget i might be changing my mind - risk of a bad barrel scares me. Also 16" or 20" fluted mtr? It is Dolphin i have contacted about the Lilja and have seen his builds. He/they have a very nice chassis made in UK and pricey. If i was spending 2k it would be an Anschutz. Mines a budget build on a used 16" .17HMR MTR now in an MDT LSS RF. Regards scope, both Element Helix FFP 6-24x50 MRAD and Vortex Diamond Tactical FFP 6-24x50 MRAD have around 19 MIL of elevation and still affordable. Would recommend either. Thanks Steve
  2. I have a 20 Practical custom build Remington 700 to sell and/or recommend the cartridge
  3. Thank you for the kind offer. Sadly too far away. Its a dilemma. Take the plunge and buy the Lilja with high expectations and be disappointed or a factory CZ MTR barrel and have a nice surprise. Of course i may wish i bought the Lilja in hindsight. Another advantage besides cost is the 16" MTR barrel option and the 1/2"unf factory thread whereas the Lilja will have to threaded and could possibly ruin it. That's the dilema. Could i ask what ammunition to use for this accuracy please?
  4. Very interested if this incredible accuracy is with a 20" fluted factory barrel as i will be purchasing a .22lr barrel soon. Looking at Lilja but still open to the idea of saving a few quid. Thanks Steve
  5. Good to see someone in agreement. I have owned 4 Athlon scopes soon to be 1 and no more. Choosing a Scope is a personal choice and difficult to advise without knowing more parameters. - Budget, magnification, FFP/SFP, size, etc. I have a Vector optics veryon on my CZ457 - at £200 will get the job done but many would think its too cheap to be any good. Then i would agree with the previous recommendation: the Element Helix but only in FFP (have tried both), also the Vortex Diamondback tactical in FFP. Not one i have tried is the Riton on offer at OW looks good but not for me (too big and heavy). Same again for Sightron S3 - good scope but not for me (reticle). Sidewinder is a popular scope so must be good, optics as good as any i have named and i have seen it in benchrest comp - obviously not for everyone. As i say way too personal to be right on this one.
  6. Good decision. MDT XRS or RF LSS makes far more sense as aftermarket option than the LRP - no brainer. Worth every penny of the extra £80.
  7. I have an early edition factory remington X pro trigger and a rifle basix after market both very good - no issues, just avoid super light trigger on x pro mk1 as bump fire problems
  8. Good morning. This Oryx chassis is for Tikka T1X Right handed and will fit either .22lr or .17HMR calibres. And it is still available. Thanks Steve
  9. MDT vertical grip new in sealed box - same as the grip in photo. Collected from Cornwall or posted for £45.
  10. 20 Moa scope rail for Tikka T1X, as new. Collected from Cornwall or posted for £45
  11. I have a Oryx chassis for a Tikka T1X to sell. I only purchased it in August and tried it before selling my T1X so as new in the box. £350.
  12. Bargain yes agreed. I like your mod cover and searched to see they are over £62 alone. Plus £225 mod as good as new it has to be worth £150. I am in the same boat with a P8 mod. I have found no one wants a P8 unless its free of course. Apparently everyone wants light mods made of alloy with shorter life, shot out quicker, cost more and worth less used. Makes me think. Wildcat need to think of a solution quickly and make their own light mods or no one will want them. Good luck with the sale.
  13. Selling Remington 700 in 20 Practical calibre. 22" Sassen varmint barrel threaded 5/8" unf, AICS floor plate and new MDT 10 round mag. £400 or will sell as barrelled action for £300. Collected from Cornwall, transfer at cost.
  14. I have i Wildcat predator 8 sound moderator with 5/8unf thread for sale as not being used. Was on a .223. Tidy condition, barrel spigot never been used and original packaging. £100 Collection from Cornwall or can be transferred at cost. Thank you. Steve.
  15. My opinion is - a lot of pain for very little gain. More likely nothing to gain other than some extra weight. The heavier profile barrel will look very nice and fill barrel channels on chassis better. From experience these little T1X's can be very accurate; they are more accurate than i am and until i am better than them i cannot see the point of so so upgrading of barrel. If you do proceed then have a gunsmith that has done it before do the work as it's not a DIY job. Recommend just keep trying different ammunition to see what it likes. Practice, Practice and more Practice. Buy another T1X for less than a barrel see it that's any better. As resale of a surplus rifle will hurt a little but a spare barrel can be worthless scrap. Hope this helps?
  16. I have same issue so interested in replies as well. I only have to lift bolt and they will fire second attempt. I thought it was something i had done fitting after market trigger and mostly with .17hmr that could be to blame. Suspected barrel not seated far enough in but not got round to checking and unlikely. More likely wear and tear - time for clean, overhaul and tlc.
  17. T1X will NOT fit a T3X Oryx chassis. Mag catch and metal needs to be removed to fit. What you have seen online is correct.
