The lady next door saw that I was over her dropped kerb by about 12 inches lol and came out the house like a stung wasp and said you can't park there being aggressive to which I politely replied F off whilst walking away

Have you received a public order offence for this? If not yet then deny everything. If the dropped kerb is on the public highway and no yellow lines etc then no offence committed. Plus neighbour doesnt own it. Your response could have been better but likely to be equal and no worse than her attitude. Best advice for next time is to politely inform her of the situation or walk away quietly and just think she should f off. Better than worrying about losing FAC.

First you will see its a big step from air rifle to .223 in costs - obviously.

Rifle options are limited by lack of stock. Many rfd's list and sell what they don't have. Not to bothered when it turns up if they have been paid (i speak from experience). Most of the time; if its on guntrader it is in stock. Tikka are favourite factory option for good reason. Can be in for a long wait if not in stock regardless of what rfd/gmk say. Sometimes a good used one can turn up and worth consideration. On a limited budget a used one can be best value. I bought a used T3 .223 varmint stainless in new year for a £500 and it is in mint condition - after a long wait for an order of a new one that never showed up.  I have looked at every option and keep coming back to tikka.

Many people who are interested in shooting steel in comps are put off by the necessity (or perceived necessity) to have high end kit (heavy race gun and bags)

Trigger control, wind calls, building position is something that’s done by everyone who’s using a rifle at any distance (they are absolutely necessary fundamentals )

Not many are interested in achieving a high score or winning - they would (like myself) rather compete and have fun whilst doing so without being pressured

Spotter calls - should be two spotters per stage whos decision is final and whom should not be approached or barracked into calling something that didn’t happen 👍🏻

Have to say that this is the most discussion into steel plate comps on any forum or social media platform (UK) for many months

    Refreshing to see

+1 Totally agree with you here and previous comment. This applies to 22NRL or whatever its called. This is the reason why a base class (like our good friends in USA) is required. Working within parameters levels the playing fields and results reflect ability and not equipment. Most importantly it should be enjoyable. Unlikely to be enough support for additional classes, so 'wanna tryers' are put off.

  4. I have a spare 5/8" unf bridge for a wildcat evo moderator that has been used a little and in immaculate condition. Looking for £50 including postage or would swap for a 1/2"unf if possible please.

Also i have a Wildcat Evo diffuser for a 20 cal. This was used just once and as new. Looking for £50 including postage.

Trying to upload photos but they look like any other.

    Thanks

  5. This is an interesting post so thank you to everyone contributing their experience. I have been looking at the Lyman gen 6 and now the Hornady auto charger only finding these for sale is half the equation. I would be interested in users experience. Thank you
