  1. As already stated above. The 22lr PRL is something I would take interest in.
  2. Ok so I've ended up buying a single shot Anschutz 1913 barrelled action and a Form benchrest stock. Wasn't going to bother with the stock but couldn't refuse it as a package deal. I'll keep my options open for a tactical stock once things get back to normal again. We have a 64 action MPR to use for the timed comps. So the single shot action on this rifle shouldnt be an issue.
  3. I take it the weights act much like a barrel tuner, or are they used to adjust the balance of the rifle?
  4. Try parmoor gunstocks mate. Thats who Steve recommended for me. Probably wont have an inlet for your rifle but could either make 1 to suit or I know that he can supply a blank for a gunsmith to inlet for you.
  5. Would love that, but really silly money for it.
  6. Managed to source a 1913 barrelled action, though not sure how I would get on with a single shot action. Hhmm decisions
  7. Would love to try a bit of longer range shooting with a rimfire. Currently only get to shoot out to 25 yards indoors. I'm going to give Steve Kershaw a bell later today to see what my options are. If nothing suits I'll probably end up going down the route of the new anschutz actioned rifle route.
  8. Yea had a look at them, but like you say stocks are low in the ground
  9. Have you seen the new 1 with new action? https://jga.anschuetz-sport.com/index.php5?produktID=1878&menu=106&sprache=1&produktShow=detail
  10. Lovely rifle and exactly what I'd be looking for. Mag fed and great anschutz action. I have the single shot sled and 2 stage trigger here for an anschutz. So makes sense for me to go down the Anschutz route.
  11. Is that single shot? Cant see a mag
  12. I believe that Steve Kershaw maybe the man in the know, I'll be calling today as I'm in the same boat in regards to stock options
  13. Seemed to be the headspace was wrong or the reamer hadnt gone deep enough. Basically had to ram the bolt to get it to close. Other thing I didnt like was the trigger being too heavy. Though I would guess there is a solution for that by now?
  14. Looks good that. Had an issue with a new MTR and had to send it back for a refund. So kind of put off by the new CZ.
  15. That looks the business that. Bet it shoots great too. I'm just having trouble trying to find a decent stock that will take the anschutz 54 action. Might need to call a few smiths to find out my options.
  16. Yea the anschutz magazines still aint cheap. Around the £60-£70 mark if I remember correctly. Passed my CZ 452 onto my father inlaw which again shot amazingly well with the cheap trigger kit fitted.
  17. The 17 series and older 1422 series anschutz are 54 action magazine fed
  18. Hi Terry Definitely a repeater for me also. Hence maybe a 1710 action or an older 1422 action.
  19. This is the sort of way I want to head with the 54 action instead of the 64. My dad has the MPR so no point heading down that route as we have a shared license, so get to use it whenever wanted and him with my rifles also. His shoots brilliantly and no extraction issues yet, though only a year old.
  20. You have a point there, I could buy a match 54 and just use the barrel on it. Reason I was thinking action and rebarrel is that I can pick up an older 54 for not much £, and if needed factor in a rebarrel. Reason I'm headind down the Anschutz route is thats its something that I have used since in my early teens shooting comps for army cadets. Already have a scope sitting there for it.
  21. Im looking for something that is magazine fed. I would take it that those are all single shot actions? Reason being we shoot different timed comps. (just inhouse comps)
  22. Didnt realise there were ejection issues with the 1710. I wouldnt be looking at a chassis as a stock. I prefer something like a Manners T4 or the likes stock. Or 1 of the stocks from a member on here. PSE I think it is. I've just sold a CZ 455 precision trainer which was superbly accurate, but want a rifle to last a lifetime, as its only rimfire I shoot due to lack of time to get fullbore shooting. Nothing wrong with a CZ in any way. Just want something a bit special.
  23. Anyone gone down the route of a semi custom 22lr rifle on here? Im after a new rifle and was all set for spending a fair bit of my hard earned on a good Anschutz, and was looking at the new 1761 series or even the BR50. Then I got thinking of actually having a rifle put together with an Anschutz 54 action, (reason being I already have a 2 stage trigger to suit). Having a good gunsmith fit a good barrel on it to suit, then drop it in a nice stock. Rifle will be used for benchrest mainly but dont want a benchrest stock, as I prefer the tactical look. Would also prefer to have it magazine fed with the option to single feed for competition via singe shot sled. Should be easy enough using the likes of a Anschutz 1710 series action.
  24. CZ455 Precision trainer would be my pick. Sold 1 not long ago and regret it. Most accurate rifle I've had. Fitted with a trigger spring kit and it shot amazingly well.
