Hi guys,
Sorry i have been off the radar for a year or so due to some unfortunate family issues,
I am now however fully back on the shooting scene, Back with a bang and properly jumping into the carbon fibre barrel project where i took off.
I am fully kitted and ready to start availability of button and cut barrels.
The results have proven themselves with both of the C2 prototype barrels in the 308 and Ar 223. Good few thousand of rounds have been shot in both over the last two years.
308- - Top spot twice at the roundhouse challenges
- Won the 308 class at the RBL at Bisley.
223- Sadly didn't get much chance to do more - but did come top in one match and near the top in two matches at the winter CSR league at Bisley.
With the 2019 Precision rifle league starting soon i will be entering with a tikka tac a1, with C2 precision carbon 24'' barrel. Hopefully do well with that rifle if its a shooter like my last two have been.
Many thanks to the smiths involved and who helped me out with what i have done so far.
C2 precision will be a sponsor for the league also. Looking forward to seeing any of you who i haven't met yet.
Prices will be published to the trades in a few weeks and availability will be full steam ahead from February onwards.
Any questions or discussions welcome
Josh

Mayb we could say CSR is an art and Long Range precision is a science.

Chrono 24 if you are ordering by mail order then this is possibly the safest site other than direct from shops.

The bottom line being any doctor/hearing specialist will tell you to wear defenders even with a moderator on most calibres and when you get to the bigger stuff like 300WM and above you should wear ear plugs and ear defenders , and as we all know no moderator can get rid of the super sonic crack so there's not much to argue about regarding dB reduction if you are wearing defenders when using a mod.
The only time you want the best moderator is when you use subsonic ammo or you storm embassy`s for a living.

How do you sweeten them? is it as easy as adding sugar when you put them in the jar ?

Gents,
Do not go by the ‘advertised’ dB levels nor the rumoured ‘X dB gives Y times as and indication of improvement or performance?
I work in and industry that generates ‘sound’ as its principle product - and lots of it!
It all depends what you are talking about, ‘loudness’’ etc. See here: http://www.sengpielaudio.com/calculator-levelchange.htm which determines the effect of the dB’s you are using.
And how, in some cases, it’s measured: https://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/decibel-d_59.html
The latter being more important, like the ‘claims’ of some scope manufacturers when the say ‘94% light transmission’ - without the way in which it is measured it is meaningless (but folks still go for it)
Just saying!
Terry
You ruin everything with your truth and proven facts.

I`ve never found the need for a moderator that does more the reduce noise to a level you do not need ear defenders when stalking/hunting in open spaces , we all wear defenders at the range and confined spaces , I suppose theres a " Walting " value to some.

Heck, if they are making them in Inconel, they aren't messing about.
I shudder to think what they will cost.
Is it difficult to work with or expensive or both?

Only several hundred through it so far and no burning/erosion yet , they do strip so easy cleaning.

A mate got a Hausken for his AR , weighs 240g , does the job cost , £190.00 and its proofed .

I won't be shooting it, I'll leave that to the customer
No it isn't the Ratchet lock, and at £750 I don't think it's the suppressor that needs examining, it's your head!!!!
Thats something we agree on.

From the Perkin website "We are custom knives makers based in UK. But our most knives smith based Outside UK and we do not produce knives in UK." ,all very confusing .

Correct, although I will add that match grade bullets will always shoot better than open base FMJ types, you do need good quality heavy bullets to get the best out of your rifle at the longer distances and some of my best performances with .223 from 600-1000yds have always been shot with 80gn JLk VLDs
What twist barrel are you using with 80gn JLk VLDs ?

May be but this type of knives can not be used in hunting tour or camping.
Er yes they can and they are used daily by professional deer managers /game keepers and hunters etc .

Mora - £10.00 -decent steel that holds an edge , no tears lost if you lose or break it.

Reason I don't reload is because I will end up loading the night before and miss filling half the cases with powder in my haste!!! It happens to others in our club - Too often
Had that happen on me , I was unsure if it had fired or not as there were several other shooting around me , I decided to check and sure enough a bullet head was a few inches up the spout , I dread to think what would have happend if I`d chanced it and sent another one up behind it ?
