  1. If you’re sure you’re going to stick to 200 yds, then .223/.222 is perfect, but if you might get a taste for longer range in the future, it may be a good idea to look at a larger calibre, a 6mm or 6.5mm, still not .308. As for a scope, if you can stretch to £500, you might pick up a Sightron S3. Always worth spending as much as you can afford on the scope. good luck
  2. If you don’t mind me asking, why do you want a .308 for targets at 100m - 200m? There are many calibres much better suited to short range targets, in fact most. Unless you plan on shooting deer as well, it might be worth having a re think.
  3. They are the HD 5000, I’ll try them out on a more stable platform, but as with you, 1000yds is ample. Thank you for the clarification
  4. No problem, just if anyone only wants the tripod and ball head.
  5. If you were to sell separately, how much would you want for the arca clamp? Thanks
  6. I think I accidentally set it on HCD mode, I didn’t know what it meant, but I’ll leave it on that, if it gives the features You mention. Still haven’t got it reading beyond 1050 m, which is beyond my range, but can’t help wondering how they can claim it ranges from 5-500 yds? Again, many thanks
  7. Thanks, One on top of two, when depressing the menu button, It takes around 8 or 9 seconds for the display to light up. I was giving up after 4 or 5, thinking it was faulty. Cheers
  8. Maybe I’m not depressing the button for long enough, I’ll try again, thanks for that.
  9. I bought a 2nd hand Vortex Fury and the mode button does nothing when pressed. I’m not too concerned as the Vortex warranty is exceptional, but not sure if I’m missing anything. What should it show when pressed? Thanks
  10. I’m selling my Bushnell DMR2 G3 illuminated reticle ffp and mils Spotless, like new, mounted then removed boxed etc £750 + postage
  11. I would also be interested in the price. Thanks
  12. Indeed, I adjust elevation with my left hand and as such, winding the elevation up, is much easier on CCW turrets, I can keep my right hand on the grip. All my scopes are and having a CW scope doesn’t work for me.
  13. Yes, it seems the majority of Euro scopes are CW, though Schmidt have a mind boggling number of options. For me, CCW is more intuitive (Which most US/Japanese scopes are) and throwing a CW elevation into the mix, is just confusing
