Thank you Sir Fizz ;) ill work it out soon lol blody computer . On the green targets ill repeat the circled ones and will go up .1 to 23.6 just to see ! Big thank-you to niel AKA Dasherman for building the rifle , im very happy with it as it replaces an attempt a few years back at a custom build that would struggle to do these groups at 100 . Moving on tho ! The thing that still amazes me it the krieger barrel is clean in about 8 patches - thats with 1or2 with oil then a dry one ! Sweet - one happy bunny ! Ps the stock is the original one from about 6 years back when it was a 223rem vls , its properly pillar bedded , but will get replaced at some point / need proper cheek piece / adjustable job , cheers Ps PC you know that im going to go 695 :P

  3. You are a tru gent , thanks for posting pics , i normally sign in on a PS4 so no pics possible . Anyway , its Tin - short for titanium nitride i think . Its a sortof satin matt finish . Thought id be a little different . It may not be every one cup of tea lol . Atb - Tim...

finally the wait is over , had the call from niel today saying its ready - SWEEET ! So before i sent in my FAC i phoned to ask how long are the variation taking ? Ooh about a week ! So now 3 week i still no joy - there getting a call from me tomorrow would you believe it lol. Not loosing my cool btw ! ;)

  4. great post. just started shooting long-range varmints myself. have a factory howa 1500 in 223 with a very cheap scope. can hit rabbits at 350 yards or so but after that to much guessing and the reticle in the scope is to big, the dot in the middle of the scope is like a football at 350 yards lol. getting a new scope zeiss conquest hd5 5-25x50 and a leica 1600b rangefinder, that should get me out another hundered yards or so. :)

These scopes are awsome almost bought 1 but had to remember that iv got NXS 5-22x56 so didnt , i just wanted something different on new build . You need 2nd focal plane and if your dialing the normal plex reticule id say , the varmint and 800 , 1000 reticule have too many lines going on - IF you dial , atb-tim

  5. Iv noticed allot less maggies in the garden , and allot more young ones out the nest mainly identified by there short tails and flittering wings by there parent bird ! <_<

  6. I don't think there are many rifle shooters that couldn't admit to thinking that's a beautiful looking action. Weather their cup of tea or not.

    Is it one of Dave's?

Hi , no its not . But like the man says its made by the same fella - john carr at resoloution precision . Think he make actions for DCR too . And one off punters like me / thru a smith that is . Its know as the clubman action , i always wanted a custom action with left port ( had to wait a little longer for the L-port was a custom option i think ) , R-bolt . Im like a proud father lolz

  7. This is Gunner's new toy.

Very nice it is too. Whats the coating on the bolt Sir?

  8. Managed a 220yd shot with the 20prac last night on a young magpie, needless to say a shovel was needed!!

Sweet - its nice picking them off . BTW - whats your load you settled on for the 20PRAC ? Im having one built , gotta take barrel blank to niel monday , my new action will be there and i haven't seen it yet . Soo excited :) - cheers

  9. Finished my trapping now, had a late run on crows, 6 or 7 in the last three weeks. Finshed with around 40 maggies and about 25 crows, got 1 maggie and 3 crows to rifle as they seem trap shy.

    A

Nice A , im no way near finished ! But did get the 2nd of a pair 2 days ago that was soo shy - because id nailed his partner . Every time id have him almost lined up with s410-177 , when i would cheek the rifle heed see the movement . This happened 6 odd times over the last 2weeks . He had somehow got the feeder on the floor taken one of the food balls under the bbq bench and was having a good meal , he did look up at for at least 5 seconds but i didn't move and he carried on ! seconds later a 7.9 accupell whistled thru the boiler room richochayed off the patio and tinged off the metal shed 10 yards behind . He made it a few feet and fell over ! Im going to put in some bisley HP - pestcontrolls now , but a wise one off the streets as it were :)

  10. I shot this one this morning - He couldn't decide if he was a crow or a magpie.

    th_20140531_084238_zpsefb48e05.jpg

Looks like a juvenile as the leangth of his tale is short . And the definition of colour in his feathers arnt quite there yet , well he won't be getting anymore defined in plumage now anyway  This is interesting tho , i remember a few years back seeing an all black 100% magpie on the same bit of ground every morning for about a month , then he went missing ! I think some one stole my idea - took it with an air rifle and sent it to the taxidermist ! Thats what id of done if id managed to get it !

I bet John Darling would of too ;) RIP

  11. Ive always used a decoy owl on a fence post,i have a flappy one with fishing line attached....shot more then I can remember using this, magpies go mad at the sight of an owl ;)

    cheers

    Glenn

Is that an plastic one ? I got a little owl but never tried the wings thing !
