  1. Any advice on what would be good to push 6.5x47 out to a thousand yards ? I’m currently using 123 scenars out to 600 and wondered if they would have the legs or whether I should be looking heavier . Realise need twist f for full answer and will get later . But sat at work musing at mo and thought would start the thread . Ta for lewkin , rgds Ian
  2. Mmmmmmmm. Now there’s a challenge Need to assess my collection now . Leave it with me . ;-) Thankyou

  4. Very clear Thankyou for your response . I was just concerned if going to annealing it was an ever depleting pastime , using up good brass every time . Also did not realise you could reuse the brass for Setting each time I thought the annealing process would have meant new , Un Annealed brass would have to be used each time . Thank you so. Much for your clear explaination , cheers Ian
  5. Do you have to sacrifice good cases for the setting up process or can you use old or split cases for initial course settings then a good case for the final paint test ? Would I be correct in assuming if the case has split then the material thickness or condition would be too different to allow any accuracy in the setting up? Also do you have to set / test each batch you do if the case condition Varies with time and use ? Just wondering what you have to factor into sacrificing each time if at all , thanks
  6. Any images poss of the aw case ? Like to reserve subject to pics pls ?
  7. I e got some templates for pm11 in cad format if people want them to play with as well
  8. Thanks BD , Those seem perfect and would also mean we could do without moderators as well . It would seem another advantage would also be the reduced wear on the linatex splash curtains as I'm sure that even the wad cutter version would be less damaging to the curtains ! Could you suggest a good brand for the wad cutter bullet ? I wasn't sure if you had used them in your original trials or not , given the neat way the grouping had not torn the paper targets as can often happen with round nose bullets ? Thanks
  9. I think we need to be careful of flippant talk about the backstops and wearing funny clothing alongside the dangers associated with the B Class competitions , especially if intending to consider holding any stages at Bisley as I'm sure Mr Mercer will have to ban it and write a letter about it in the magazine . One question Would it still be a problem to the nra/NSRA if we considered downloading these for indoor and short range use for practice . Obviously at shorter ranges we wouldn't be needing the same mv I don't think ?
  10. Shropshire and West Midlands very low count on our shoots over the past three years but just starting to show signs of an increase . Not jus t on the shoots very noticeable when travelling , the regular verge areas where we always used to see rabbits and a low road kill count and yet brocks and pheasants roadkill quite high . Certainly on Shropshire shoot very little active rabbits till after dark , must be some there tho cus we have had red kites move in as well as the usual buzzard traffic .
  11. no locking blades on the paratool , on other SOGs but not this one . http://www.sogknives.com/paratool-satin.html sits nicely horizontally on the belt, but can see you point in the pocket.
  12. Get a SOG paratool matt , blades are non lockable . Have one with me all the time and gets regular use for work and home . Certainly not as multi tasking as some of the multitools but a very capable and carriable tool . .
